About Alvaro

- What kind of experience do you have?

• Flute, music theory and piano teacher in the Music School “Divertimento” (Oviedo-Spain). (from March 2009 to June 2012)
• Conductor of the “Social Centre Choir” (from September 2009 to September 2011)
• Conductor of the “Choir Santa Eulalia” (from October 2011 to nowadays)
• Official piano accompanist of the “Choir Villablanca” (from 2007 to 2011)
• Private Spanish, French and music lessons for years.
• Teacher in the Spanish High School "Perez de Ayala" (Asturias)
• Experience with Gijon Symphonic Orchestra, Asturias Clasical Orchestra, Consmupa Orchestra as flutist, piccoloist, pianist and harpshicord.

I have studied with teachers from all over the world. Nowadays, I'm studying as a postgraduate at Trinity Laban college (Greenwich) and with the Film Music Composer of the Royal College of Music (London). A good teacher is always studying and improving.

• Baccalaureate of Sciences (8.5 of 10).
• Flute Degree (Higher Conservatory of Oviedo). Prize end of Career and top qualifications in the last recital exam (10 of 10).
• Composition Degree (Higher Conservatory of Oviedo). Music for Screen and General composition specialities
• Piano Professional Degree (Professional Conservatory of Oviedo).
• Master in Music Teaching for Secundary Education and Bachelor (University of Oviedo).
• Higher certificate in English (B2, equivalent to Proficiency) (Oficial Language School of Spain).
• Higher certificate in French (Equivalent to B2). (Oficial Language School of Spain).
• Prize “Angel Muñiz Toca” in Flute (December of 2010).

- How much do you charge?

Consultation lesson is free if it's in my home or 10 pounds if it's at students' homes. I don't mind if more students attend the lesson: the price will be 15 pounds per hour anyway.

- Where do you teach?

Teaching at home preferred (5 minutes from Island Gardens DLR Station). Otherwise, travel costs should be paid by the student (depends on how far it is).

- When are you available?

As I have plenty of commitments, it depends on the day of the week and the hour. Better from Thursday to Sunday.

- Which ages and levels do you teach?

I have experience in teaching all levels and ages, so that´s not a problem. 4 years experience teaching adults and 4 years in a Music school (from 4 to 50 years old).

- Describe your arrangements for online tutoring.

We can tutor online via Skype. We can arrange the best time for us both.
