About Aneela
- What kind of experience do you have?
I have new goals in working closely with various community groups in the United Kingdom and those in other countries, contributing my knowledge of the English language and Science (being a chemistry graduate) with a positive approach to both Primary School teaching and TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages).
Aug 2011- present Private tuition - present. Every Sunday I aid children within local families - who are attending primary school - with their literacy in order to enhance their competency in the English Language. The various noun types in English, verbs, prepositional openers/prepositions, adverbial openers/adverbials, double-dip adjectives/adjectives connectors, and compound words have been concentrated upon in tuition.
Have recently commenced Science tutoring of Biology and Chemistry Key Stage 2 &3 with children of freinds of the family. Certain topics covered, reactions of metals with acids, particle theory, anionic and covalent bonding, photosynthesis and respiration, water and mineral salt uptake, quadrats.
Sept 2011- Mar 2012 West Midlands Social Enterprise and Training, Wolverhampton. Work experience for TESOL. Every Saturday, I worked as a volunteer in ESOL assisting the tutor in beginner and intermediate/upper intermediate level classes (level 1, 2 and 3). Engaged in one to one’s with particular students having learning difficulties. Monitored students as they practised speaking. Checked comprehension of listening by asking questions and eliciting information on subjects/target language being taught. Aided students with vocabulary and meaning.
My current occupation although I am seeking to leave this to fully engage in private tuition as a career change: Jun 2007- present Quality Analyst – Quality Control (QC) PQ Corporation, Warrington A globally based company with one of the operational plants growing in Indonesia has aided in the expansion of the company on various levels. Various types of silicas both manufactured in Indonesiaand on site are Quality tested in a QC (Quality Control) laboratory using validated procedures in order to meet specification. Have been involved in Phase one and Phase two testing of a new Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) used in toothpaste manufacture required for cGMP (Good Manufacturing Practise) validation. Sound work and communication to plant managers, laboratory personnel and supervisors has been essential for all systems to be put into place in order to start full manufacture of API. Have also aided in training staff and in chemical hazard awareness through COSHH (chemicals or substances hazardous to health) documentation and updates. Communication with staff on all levels within the company is very important in such a role. Good interpersonal skills and time management essential.
- Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate?
At the moment, no, but hoping to apply. I am enagaged with local authorities (cheshire constabulary) who are a point of reference for me. I can also obtain references from mothers who allow their children to be taught from me, references from my employers and a campaign organisation I have been involved in nationally, which is called the HOPE not hate campaign.
- Where and with whom did you train?
I have trained with professional TESOL teachers in Wolverhampton.
- Do you belong to any professional organisations?
I am a member of the Association of the College of Teachers, which is the accredited body of the course, which I was engaged in (TESOL).

If anyone wishes to have a consultation with me, I will not charge for this. I am already teaching young children £15-18/hour dependant on the level being taught. Children usually are engaged in a one to two hour session with me. If the pupil is out of town, I would have to re-assess the rate. Coming from a background that also has a high regard for other cultures, and an individual who has integrated into a multi cultural society, I feel I am approachable and understanding.
