About David
I am a Mathematics graduate from the University of Bristol and a confident French speaker. I started tutoring GCSE students when I was doing Maths at A-Level and have since acquired lots of experience tutoring a range of students at different levels in my final year of studies at Bristol. I am happy to provide support to any student from GCSE to A-Level standard in either Maths or French.

In my Mathematics lessons I first discuss the topic that I will be going through and the subdivisions of this topic. Then, I explain each subdivision more precisely and work through some examples allowing for any questions during this time. After I am confident this has been understood, I will present some questions for the pupil to work on independently and then discuss the answers with them, explaining any tricks or helping them to understand if they have gone wrong. To finish off the lesson, I present a summary of what we have covered during this time and what we will be covering in the next lesson (setting homework if necessary). At the end of a module I will set the student a test with questions on the material we have covered in order to gauge progress but also to help prepare for the exam. Any lessons before an exam will be dedicated to going through past papers and helping with exam technique (particularly important in Maths) as much as possible. I maintain a friendly yet focused approach to these lessons as I realise Mathematics can be a very frustrating and hard subject to grasp!
