About Mo

- What kind of experience do you have?

I have been a vocalist for over thirty years, and have been a vocal coach for four and have owned and run my own singing school in West Sussex for 18 months. I have had coaching in Musical Theatre and rock and pop.
I have studied person Centered Planning which teaches you to communicate with students on a needs basis: what you need and what works best for you tailored to each and every student individually.

I have students from the age of five to sixty at the moment and they all have very different needs. Some have been sent to me through recommendation from the local music college and others are from student recommendations and through the recording studio where I teach. - Tell me about your qualifications.

I have been a vocalist since 1978 singing in bands, musical shows and recording studios. As the principal character in musical theatre shows such as" The King and I" as Anna Leonowens, "Oliver" as Nancy under the guidance of the musical director and vocal coach, I learned how to maintain voice through lengthy musicals to raise the roof night after night and bring real emotion to the character.

During my time as lead vocalist in live bands I again sought advice and tuition as in each genre I sang I became aware of the different techniques used in different situations. I have gained a wide knowledge of how it feels to sing: I know where your voice should sit in your body and how to support it with good breath control. I have learned through experience how not to do it! And what always works and how to relate that knowledge to you on a one to one basis in layman's terms so you understand.
So many of my students manage the technical side of singing and desperately want to sing live in a show, but the psychological effects of stage fright can be debilitating. I will help you to believe in yourself.

My most favourite quote of all time was by Ella Fitzgerald " Sing like no one is listening". You should always be yourself and believe in your ability and open up and let everyone hear your voice. It's never to late to live your dream: believe, believe, believe!!!!
