Claire - Teddington - Singing

My son has been learning piano with Claire since September 2016.
His progress with Claire has been wonderful to watch. He loves his lessons and looks forward to each week, practising daily without a reminder in order to reach his full potential. He respects her extensive musical knowledge and enjoys her calm and happy disposition when teaching. Her approach clearly gets results culminating in a distinction for his Grade 1 exam in June 2017.

Claire has been an excellent person to have as a piano teacher over the past year. I have only taken up the instrument very recently, and was looking for a teacher who would be patient, encouraging and happy to deviate from a set beginner's course, should the inspiration arise. Luckily, Claire is all of these things. I would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone considering lessons.

Claire has worked wonders with our two boys over the last 18 months or so (now 14 & 16). I don't know how she does it but they both look forward to her lessons and from being fairly poor readers, they have both improved their reading skills dramatically. There was time we were worried about how they would fare at GCSE English but not now! Thank you, Claire.

Claire has been teaching my two daughters the piano for a few years. She is a wonderful teacher. She is firm but kind, and very professional. She understands my girls' different characters and has helped them progress at a pace that suits them. She gives great feedback too which is very helpful.

I have had the pleasure to know Claire for the last 14 months since she started tutoring my son Ollie, for his English IGSCEs this year. Claire's tutoring and mentoring skills are unique and in our opinion, outstanding. She has inspired my son to take an interest in the creative and analytical skills of English study. She has helped research courses and devise strategies to further stimulate Ollie's interest in poetry and find interesting reading material to broaden his thinking.

Claire is an absolutely fantastic teacher. She has taught my daughter for four years and I would not hesitate to recommend her. She has taught her both the flute and classical voice, and my daughter has progressed through 7 separate grades, achieving Merits and Distinctions in all her examinations, which is a testament to Claire's tuition skills. Claire is reliable, supportive and provides excellent feedback.

I have been having flute lessons with Claire for 20 months. She has patiently guided me to Grade 4 standard during this time. She is always positive and encouraging, and tactfully points out how to improve my technique, leading to consistent, incremental improvement. The format of lessons is flexible; Claire will always try to accommodate students' requests to study music that inspires them.
