About Mark
I love all of STEM and especially interdisciplinary subjects. This means I can give context to lessons and help understand the applications of learnt topics if that would be of interest. I can very easily adapt my way of teaching to tailor lessons to individuals to suit specific learning styles. Difficult to understand concepts are well explained, and I make sure that students understand concepts before moving on to anything that would make use of them. I put emphasis on revision, and linking already learnt topics to new ones being taught, so students can understand how what they are learning can be applied in practice.

Lessons will usually start with a quick revision of previously taught topics through practice questions. It is important to not forget information that has had time invested into learning. Quick revisions at the start of each lesson are also a great way to measure student progress. Lessons are tailored to each individual. The topic of the lesson will be discussed and agreed on before the start, so I can prepare well the necessary resources to best teach the agreed upon topic. Delivery of lessons will be through a mixture of teaching and explaining concepts, practice questions to apply newly learnt knowledge, and going through past exam papers to prepare students for tackling the all-important exams.
