About Sekou
I am a passionate Guitar tutor with 8 years of professional teaching experience, teaching school students, college learners, and working professionals. I enjoy guiding students through every stage of their guitar journey. My teaching philosophy is based on patience, clarity, and motivation.
I explain concepts in a simple way and encourage regular practice. My lessons include guitar basics, chords, scales, rhythm exercises, strumming and picking techniques, fingerstyle introduction, and song learning, along with simple music theory.
Many of my students have successfully performed at school and college functions. Helping students grow musically and gain confidence is my greatest reward.

My teaching approach is student-focused and based on real-world music application. I believe Guitar should be taught in a way that helps students play real songs confidently. I use familiar music, real-life examples, and simple case studies to explain Guitar concepts in an easy and relatable manner.
I take time to understand each student’s learning pace, strengths, and challenges. Communication is open and encouraging, helping students stay motivated and relaxed during lessons. Lessons are structured but flexible, allowing students to progress comfortably.
Integrity guides my teaching style. I give honest feedback and focus on strong fundamentals and disciplined practice habits. Guitar lessons include finger exercises, chord transitions, strumming techniques, rhythm control, scales, and tone quality. In addition to Guitar, I also teach supporting subjects such as basic music theory, timing skills, ear development, and performance confidence. My goal is steady improvement and long-term musical growth.
