About Mateo
My name is Mateo. I'm from Broomfield, Colorado, but I'm currently studying Film & Digital Media at the University of New Mexico. I've been writing for as long as I can remember, whether it be scripts for future projects or essays for English classes. I've taken and passed 3 college-level English classes for both reading and literature. I've helped many close friends with their essays and writing assignments, and it resulted in good grades and development of new skills in all of them. I enjoy teaching people, and hope to find writing methods that will make the process easier and less complicated for anyone who struggles.

My lessons are for high school and college-level English students who struggle with writing essays, coming up with creative writing, editing, and coming up with their own ideas. As a tutor, I try to focus more on what a student/client needs more than anything. I won't teach out of any textbooks or based on any curriculum, but I will find the problems a client has with their writing, and try my best to solve them in a productive and painless manner. I tend to be an unserious person, and hope to make tutoring sessions feel less like a job and more like asking help from a friend.
