About David
Hi my name is David, a medical student at Swansea University (ranked #1 for medicine complete university guide 2022) about to begin second year. I have a background in Earth Sciences, and have studied to MSc level. I have always been interested in education and have recently been selected as a peer tutor for incoming 1st year students at Swansea. I have experience teaching non-academically as a surf coach, and understand how each client's learning needs vary with age and ability, and are best met with adaptability in teaching methods. What I lack in formal teaching experience, I make up for in enthusiasm for the process. Building on your knowledge with well organised, structured sessions to build a comprehensive understanding that will help you understand and apply that knowledge going forward. David and I studied oceanography together between 2012-2015, remaining friends and comparing notes on our studies to this day. Throughout our degree, David was an exemplary student, in particular excelling when leading groups of fellow students during joint tasks.
