About Me: I'm Mr. William George, Geography Tutor – GCSE, A-Level & International | Examiner | 26 Years’ Experience

Experienced Geography tutor with 26 years of teaching experience across KS2–KS5 and Further Education. I have taught in England, Ireland, and South Africa and specialise in GCSE and A-Level Geography.

I work across AQA, Edexcel, OCR, and Cambridge International and am a current examiner for Edexcel A-Level Paper 3 and AQA GCSE Paper 1.

With 12 years of tutoring experience and access to 26 years’ worth of resources, I help students improve subject knowledge, exam technique, and grades through clear, engaging, and targeted support.

About the lesson

My Approach: I create a personalised learning plan for every student, focusing on their specific needs and exam board requirements. Lessons are designed to be engaging and interactive, using real-world examples to make complex topics easy to understand. My 1 hour tutoring approach is as follows: • step 1 - meet and greet • step 2 - gauge target grade • step 3 - fill in gaps to education to further confidence • step 4 - work on papers to attain target and hopefully exceed target grade with constant feedback from myself. What I Offer: o Exam Preparation: Targeted revision for GCSE and A-Level exam boards (e.g., AQA, Edexcel and OCR). o Topic Deep-Dives: Specialised help with difficult sections like map work, physical landscapes (Water and Carbon Cycles), or urban issues. o Core Skill Development: Building essential skills like data analysis, fieldwork techniques, and essay writing (Using PEDALJ). o Confidence Building: Creating a supportive environment to help students overcome challenges and feel confident in their abilities.
