About Aphiwe

I am a social activist, artist, and a senior phase qualified teacher. Who majors in Life Science, Natural Science and isiXhosa (HL). I have taught from primary to high school level, isiXhosa SAL, FAL and HL. I have also taught grade 12 supplementary learners who are rewriting their matric Life Science and isiXhosa. I also transcribe documents on my free time as a side hustle, I have four published poetry books in English and isiXhosa. I have partaken in tutoring English and Maths in public primary schools, and I am currently the founder of Back 2 School which is an initiative that advocates for Education. I am not only concerned about instilling the content of the subjects I am teaching, but I am also equally concerned about how learners receive the information taught to them. If you choose me, as your tutor, expect that I will be as concerned for your mental and emotional well being, as I will be concerned about your academic progress.

About the lesson

I am a social activist, I advocate for free and equal education on daily bases. I am more concerned about how learners receive the information, I teach based on their learning abilities. I am more proficient in teaching in English, and my learners should expect me to guide them through their learning experience, I encourage creativity and free thinking during my lessons. My lessons are aimed at learners who are dealing with learning difficulties like dyslexia, I always make sure that I create a learning environment that will be not only welcoming but that will also accommodate their learning difficulities.
