About Seb

I’m, a Geography tutor with an A* at A-Level and a current Environmental Science student at the University of Exeter. Geography has always been my strongest subject, and I’ve built a specialist focus on NEA coaching, data analysis, and examiner-style marking. Alongside my academic background, I have years of experience teaching young people through Scouts, which has given me confidence, patience, and the ability to explain difficult concepts clearly. I’m highly organised and structured in my approach, and I’m committed to helping every student achieve the best possible grade. I especially enjoy working with motivated GCSE and A-Level students, supporting both their day-to-day Geography learning and NEA. My aim is always the same: build understanding, build confidence, and secure top marks through clear, targeted teaching.

About the lesson

My Approach to Tutoring:
My teaching style is structured, clear, and completely exam-board focused. I combine simple explanations with examiner-style marking, targeted practice, and weekly homework so students make fast, measurable progress. I specialise in helping students understand the exact requirements of the specification and how to write in a way that secures top-band marks. My standard lessons last 60 minutes, but I also offer 90-minute sessions for more intensive exam preparation when needed. Each lesson ends with a short recap, a clear set of next steps, and homework designed to reinforce progress. I achieved an A* in A-Level Geography and now study Environmental Science at the University of Exeter, which keeps my knowledge current and applied to real-world examples. I also have years of experience teaching and supporting young people through Scouts, which has helped me develop a calm, supportive, and student-focused teaching approach. I tutor at all levels but mainly focus on GCSE and A-Level Geography students , whether they are aiming for high grades or need help building confidence and structure.

Perfect! I was really impressed from the start by Seb.He really took time at the trial lesson to find out exactly what my son's needs/learning needs were and worked out a very detailed plan of how to go about teaching him .He took time to ascertain where my son was up to in his geography GSCE knowledge first and then devised a plan from there.
