About Hayley

- What kind of experience do you have?

Privately, I teach instrumental lessons to a range of students from absolute beginner to advanced, and children to adults. I have been teaching privately for a year and am enjoying watching my students develop their skills. I also teach group instrumental lessons for Lewisham Music Service throughout the week, providing engaging and fun lessons for small groups of children.

Furthermore, having taken a university music degree, I feel I have a lot of knowledge and experience to offer students preparing for GCSE music exams.

I currently train with Margaret Campbell and Alan Baker at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, London.

I am a highly experienced flautist with a lot of knowledge and passion to share with my students. I believe that enjoying your practice is paramount so I aim to create a relaxed yet effective learning programme for my pupils.

- Which subject(s) do you teach?

I teach flute, piccolo and recorder instrumental lessons, and offer music theory training either as a part of your instrumental lesson or exclusively. Secondly, I can help students prepare for music GCSE or with any elements of music they feel they would benefit from some one-to-one tutoring.

- How much do you charge?

I charge £25 per hour and £15 per half an hour. For group lessons, please contact me to discuss prices.

- Where do you teach?

I am available to teach at my home in Greenwich, London. I am also willing to travel a reasonable distance to teach at your home but will usually charge up to an extra £5 to cover travel expenses.

- When are you available?

I have a flexible timetable, available to teach at various times each day of the week, evenings and weekends. I will continue to teach throughout school holidays.

- Which ages and levels do you teach?

I have experience teaching instrumental lessons to all age groups, from young children to adults. My students range from absolute beginners to approximately grade 8 standard.

- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?

I can prepare my performance students for either the ABRSM or Trinity Guildhall exam boards. Furthermore, I would be happy to help my students plan and prepare their GCSE and A-Level Music coursework performances and academic work.

- Describe your arrangements for online tutoring.

If you would like me to teach you but live too far away, we could try to have lessons over Skype. Furthermore, I would be happy to arrange the consultation over Skype.
