About Ian

I will teach you how to work smarter, not harder. I've assisted siblings with academic work and helped them achieve satisfactory grades at GCSE level of English. As I'm young myself, and only just out of University, I have a recency advantage in that I understand the current systems of grading as someone who recently took examinations. I've also learned to develop a sense of what is necessary work, and what is unnecessary. I'm eager to assist as many students as possible.

I spent a year studying abroad in the USA, so I've even experienced different, more international methods of learning, and it's this experience that I'm hoping to pass on.

Hello, I recently completed my Journalism w/ English degree at Ulster University Coleraine. I'm offering lessons in English and related subjects to students who are at a secondary school level or higher. I have A*s in GCSE English and Journalism. I will structure out a weekly plan with the goal of achieving a certain standard of work within a certain time frame. Whether this is preparation for an exam, or simply an attempt to brush up on writing skills, I can ensure you that I will help you achieve your goals.

I make use of a friendly, open-ended style of teaching. I want it to be an open dialogue where ideas can be freely expressed, and one in which the student feels free to share any concerns they may have.
