I'm Mili, an enthusiastic and committed teacher from London, specialising in violin, music theory and academic tuition. I live in Greenwich and my flexible schedule means I can teach at a time convenient for you, at my home or yours.

- Which subject(s) do you teach?

Violin (beginner to post-grade 8)
Music theory (beginner to grade 8, including grade 5 exam preparation)
Academic tutoring (primary to A Level/IB)

- Tell me about your qualifications.

I am a scholarship student at a Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London studying for BMus Violin. I have performed in China, Turkey, Israel, Italy, Cyprus, Hong Kong, France and the UK, and have won prizes in international competitions as a soloist. Additionally I have a strong academic background and offer tutoring in English, Maths, French (I have dual French/British citizenship and have extensive experience as a French speaker) and SAT/GRE American university entrance exams.

Grade 8 with distinction in violin (2005) and classical voice (2008).

A levels: Music, Music Technology, Politics, Philosophy & Ethics (4 As).
GCSEs: English Language, English Literature, Maths, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, French, Music, Religious Studies (6 A*s, 3 As).
GRE: 165V (95th %), 158Q (74th %), 5.0 AWA (93rd %).

- How much do you charge?

£30/hour.

- Where do you teach?

I am based in Greenwich and can teach at my home or yours. I am able to travel within London and the South East (including Surrey and Kent).

- When are you available?

Lessons are available on any day at a variety of times and can easily be rescheduled. I am available to teach through the school holiday periods.

Any age or ability.

- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?

ABRSM grade exams in violin, music theory and practical musicianship.
Academic exams up to A level or IB.
School entrance exams.
American university entrance exams.

I believe that the most important aspect of learning is that it is enjoyable. My teaching method is to not simply instruct, but to help students develop an intellectual curiosity, understand why I am making suggestions rather than just following instructions, and ultimately become well-rounded individuals through their education.
