My Approach as a Biology Teacher As a biology teacher, my goal is not just to teach facts but to ignite curiosity, promote critical thinking, and make science relatable to everyday life. I believe that students learn best when they are actively engaged, encouraged to ask questions, and see the relevance of biology in the real world. Teaching Techniques and Methods I use a blended teaching approach, combining traditional instruction with modern, student-centered strategies: Interactive lectures with visuals, models, and real-world examples Inquiry-based learning, where students explore questions and solve problems Hands-on experiments and demonstrations (virtual or physical, depending on the class format) Use of multimedia tools (animations, videos, simulations) to visualize complex processes Differentiated instruction to meet diverse learning styles and levels Continuous formative assessment through quizzes, discussions, and peer feedback Structure of a Typical Class Each class is designed to be structured yet flexible: Warm-up / Review (5–10 min) Quick recap or thought-provoking question to activate prior knowledge. Concept Introduction (15–20 min) Explanation using diagrams, real-life examples, or short videos. Interactive Learning Activity (20–30 min) This could be a lab activity, group discussion, case study, or worksheet.
