My teaching method is changed depending on the individual. I believe we are all capable and intelligent however just learn in different ways. I would spend a small part of the first lesson assessing what you need help in, how I can help you and outline any deadlines or goals (e.g. exam dates). We would then go topic by topic, evaluating how confident you are in each with a mini test and then coming back to the more difficult ones in the end
I’ve been a youth worker for the past year and a half as well as giving tutorials in STEM for the past 4 years. I’ve taught individuals to groups of 6, from ages 6-18. I’ve especially enjoyed helping young people get ready for SATs and GCSEs.
