About Tapanga

As a former high school and collegiate athlete, I’ve dedicated years to playing and now coaching the game I love. I started at Red Oak High School and played club for TAV, then continued at Shaw University where I earned Rookie of the Year, became a 3x All-Conference Middle Hitter, and helped my team win two championships. I finished my college career at Kentucky State University, earning Newcomer of the Year. Today, I coach at BlockSport Volleyball Club in Terrell, TX, where I focus on developing young athletes through fundamentals, discipline, and confidence—just like the coaches who helped shape me. Your child’s growth on and off the court is my top priority.

About the lesson

Each session is customized to fit the individual needs of the player.

For hitters (outside, middle, and right side), we focus on approach footwork both on and off the net, lateral movement, and proper blocking technique across the net.

For defensive specialists (DS), we work on reading hitters, improving reaction time, effective communication, and mastering passing fundamentals.

My goal is to help each athlete grow in their specific position and become a smarter, more confident player on the court.
