How to get ACCA qualification?
So, how can you obtain an ACCA qualification? You can apply to be an ACCA student by completing your application on the ACCA Registration page.
In order to smoothen your application, get ready with these documents:
- Official educational documents such as completion certificates and transcripts detailing the modules studied.
- Proof of identity (copy of a birth certificate, passport, National ID Card or driver's license).
- Passport-style photograph.
You will have to upload a parental consent form if you are under the age of 16. The consent form can be retrieved from the ACCA website.
Any documents that are issued in languages other than English need to be attached with a photocopy of the original language documents and a copy of an official English translation. These documents need to be stamped by a licensed translator.
You will also need to make a payment for the registration fee to complete your application online. The payment can be done using a credit card or debit card. Without the registration fee, your application will not be processed.
If you have prior and relevant qualifications, you will be able to apply for exemption from certain examinations during the online registration process. To be eligible for the exemption, you will have to upload relevant evidence such as award certificates and transcripts.

What are the entry requirements for ACCA qualification?
You need to have any of these prerequisites to register for the ACCA qualification:
Sijil Tinggi Pelajaran Malaysia (STPM)
2 principal passes at STPM (grade C or above), plus 3 credits at SPM (grade C or above or grades 1-6) in 5 separate subjects, including English and Mathematics.
Matriculation Certificate (Matrikulasi)
A minimum CGPA of 2.50, including Mathematics and English.
Unified Examination Certificate (UEC)
5 subjects with grade B, including English and Maths.
Matriculation to University (Bachelor or Masters)

University/College Foundation (all programmes)
This includes but is not limited to Foundation Certificate, Foundation Degree, Foundation in Arts and Foundation Studies.
Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia (DKM)
Having these prerequisites allows you to enrol directly on the ACCA program. However, if you don’t have the required qualification, fret not. You can always start with the ACCA’s Foundations in Accountancy program. Or you can opt for a CFA qualification instead.
What examinations will you be taking upon receiving ACCA Qualification?
These are the three things you need to accomplish to receive ACCA qualification:

There will be four exam sessions conducted throughout the year. You can sit for a maximum of four ACCA subjects at each exam period. In a year, you will be able to take a maximum of eight distinct exams. Basically, you can complete all the papers within 2 years and up to four years.
Ethics and Professional Skills module
The Ethics and Professional Skills module is a program purposely designed to boost your chance of getting hired. You will be exposed to the full spectrum of advanced ethical and professional skills and realistic business situations.
The program can be taken online once you become eligible to take the Strategic Business Leader exam. Generally, you should be completing the Strategic Business Leader exam before taking any Strategic Professional exams.
Practical Experience Requirement (PER)
In order to prove that you can apply your knowledge in the workplace and have practical skills, you need three years of relevant work experience. Your working experience can be before, during or after you complete your exams.

There will be additional local invigilation and accommodation fees that you have to pay if you take examinations at either a special centre or an unlisted special centre. Payment should be made directly to the Exam Supervisor in advance of the exam date.
How to study ACCA?
