In 2019, the Kwing Ngai Lion Dance troupe brought home the RM20000 money prize and a trophy for being the second in the international Water Stilt Lion Dance Championship. Malaysia was competing with 9 other countries mainly from Singapore, Vietnam, China, Myanmar, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan and Australia.
