In this section, you will be provided with a passage from which six sentences have been removed. From the given choice of 8 options, you have to choose 6 correct sentences to fill in the gap.

The final section requires you to match 4 paragraphs with the given statements. Then, you’ll have to find information from the text to construct correct sentences.

🖊️Paper 2 (1119/2): Writing
This is another 1 hour 30 minutes paper, but it is split into three sections. There are only subjective questions to be completed in this paper, which include open-response and limited-response questions. There are 5 questions in total, but you should answer only one question in Section 3.
Part 1: Short Communicative Message (less than 80 words)
Based on the given prompt, write a short note or email in fewer than 80 words. Keep your responses short and to the point.
Part 2: Directed Writing (125 to 150 words)
In this part, you have to write an essay based on a given stimulus. The stimulus usually has three related prompts, and you have to include all of them when writing the essay. Elaborate with opinions and explanations based on the prompts provided.
Part 3: Extended Writing (200 to 250 words)
Choose one out of 3 topics and write an essay of about 200 to 250 words. It could be a report/ review/ article/ story (depending on your choice) based on the notes given. Develop your ideas well and write in a clear, easy-to-understand manner. Don’t forget to include a good introduction and conclusion.
📢Paper 3 (1119/3): Speaking
This is a brief paper that takes you 13 minutes to complete. The examiner, who is known as the interlocutor, will ask you several subjective questions requiring both open-response and limited-response answers. There are 8 questions in total, which you will answer individually and in pairs.
Part 1: Interview
This is the easiest section. You will answer 4 simple questions in about 3 to 4 minutes, usually general questions about yourself, such as your name, family, etc.
Part 2: Individual Speaking based on Text/Verbal Prompt
You will receive a booklet with a main topic and several prompts, such as “A person you admire.” You have 20 seconds to prepare and about 1 minute to speak.
After Candidate A completes speaking, Candidate B answers a brief follow-up question related to the topic. The same process is then repeated for Candidate A.
Part 3: Discussion based on Mind Map Stimulus
In the final section, you will discuss a topic with your partner for 2 to 3 minutes using a mind map.
This part is divided into three stages.
📻Paper 4 (1119/4): Listening
The Listening Paper lasts for 40 minutes and consists of only objective questions. However, note that towards the end of the paper, you may have to provide short-form answers (fill in the blanks based on what you have heard in the audio recording). There are a total of 30 questions, and you have to answer all of them.
The Listening Paper is divided into four parts. You will listen to audio recordings such as speeches, conversations, or dialogues or talks and then answer the questions that follow.
