About Jan
I was able to get to know different instruments since my early childhood. I had lessons in piano and later on electric bass. 8 years ago I discovered the drums for myself and taught myself most of it self-taught. During my master's degree in philosophy, I was very fortunate to be able to work part-time for three years in a drum school with students of all ages, and that's where I found my calling. In order to professionalize myself in this regard, I took and successfully completed the full-time course at the Drummers Institute in Krefeld in 2019. Since then I have been working as a freelance drummer and drum teacher.

The lessons are always based on the student's abilities and wishes. Basically, a rhythmic understanding is acquired or trained both in practice and in theory. In addition, an advantageous grip and posture is taught. Building on this, dynamics is another important topic because it is crucial for personal sound. Last but not least, the concepts learned are brought into a musical context, e.g. by playing along to play-alongs.

Perfect! Wir hatten sehr kurzfristig nach einem Schlagzeuglehrer gesucht, da mein Sohn nach einer längeren Pause am Instrument Unterstützung benötigte, um einen neuen Song zu erlernen. Jan hat es möglich gemacht, uns innerhalb kurzer Zeit einen Termin anzubieten. Am Unterrichtstag selbst gab es kein Zeitlimit, sodass mein Sohn in Ruhe üben konnte. Danke.
