About Meadow

My name is Meadow! I am first class degree student of Popular Music/Education Studies who has played the drums for nearly 10 years! I have obtained Trinity Rock and Pop Grades, Music GCSE and A-Level, as well as, my first class Popular Music/Education Studies degree from UoN. I am looking to share my passion and enjoyment for drumming with students who want to begin or develop their drumming journey!

About the lesson

Fundamentals of drumming, time signatures, difference between genres, how to develop yourself as a musician and a performer, and, Music theory! My pedagogy covers both formal and informal learning, meaning we will cover curriculum topics through Trinity Rock Grades (for example) but also covering curriculum topics through your favourite songs! I've run many rhythmic workshops, taught drums 1-1, and taught Level 7 rhythmic placement lessons! At the moment I am focusing on beginner to intermediate drummers!

I’ve had drum lessons with Meadow and they have been amazing! Meadow has all the qualities of a super teacher- kind, encouraging and supportive. Willing to go at my pace but also pushing me out of my comfort zone, Meadow is flexible, friendly and approachable. Their musical ability and drumming knowledge is undisputed. They have excellent communication with regards to arranging lessons and suggests songs/ videos to practice in between lessons. I highly recommend Meadow!
