About Courtney

Hello :)
I am a 28 year old actor and artist (painter) living in London (Australia born). I was a series regular on the long-running Australian soap, 'Home and Away' from 2018-2022. I am a teacher here in Melbourne at multiple schools such as, The Australian Television and Film Academy, Screen Actors' Australia and Stage School. My background is in screen acting but my love is in theatre. I am a working actor myself and attend acting classes every week to continually improve my own acting craft.
I have been training as an actor since I was 15 and recently completed full-time at 16th Street Actor’s Studio to add to my extensive study. I also have a degree in psychology and a post-graduate diploma in rehabilitation counselling. A lot go my work and teaching stems from my psychology background.
I love health, fitness and anything arty farty!!

About the lesson

Why me?
I am an extremely passionate actor and artist (painter) living the life of a full-time creative. I have extensive experience teaching 5-12years, teens and adults. No experience needed to attend my sessions, all are welcome :)

My lessons are passionately driven by my own love for the arts, married with a nurturing tone.

My experience?
I have been studying acting for over a decade. I have 4 years experience in the Australian film and TV industry, my major credit being a main character on ‘Home and Away’ from 2018-2022. I have taught in Australia at TAFTA, Screen Actors Australia and Stage School for the past 2 years in Melbourne and am now embarking on my biggest theatre journey by self-producing my own show in Sydney.

I also have a degree in Psychology and a Graduate certificate in Rehabilitation Counselling. I have my working with children check.

My acting techniques?
Based in the teachings of Stanislavski, Stella Adler, Meisner as well as the many renowned teachers I have studied with over the years. My approach is warm and constructive, offering you with performance ideas as well as tricks of the trade to improve you as an actor/ getting you ready for your audition or the industry.

My lesson plan?
60 min lesson offering you character break down, script analysis, performance notes and tricks to preparing your audition piece for a showreel or to show a casting director or agent. I teach ages 5+. Lessons can also just delve into building your confidence and knowledge of acting!

I am very warm-natured but also passionate about you being the best performer you can.
