As a teacher my philosophy is to seek to enable every student to aspire to be the best that they can be so that they may flourish. I have high expectations and encourage, inspire, and challenge students to aim high.
My lessons are effectively planned to make maximum use of time and I coordinate resources well so that students can build upon their knowledge and skills. I strongly believe in an active approach to learning and use strategies to engage and motivate pupils. Lessons tend to last for an hour, though can be adapted in length depending on the age and level of the student.
I hold a BA Hons degree in Religious Studies and a PGCE in Secondary Education. I have been teaching for five years and continuously been graded as outstanding for my teaching practice. My students have had great success in GCSE and A level exams. I specialise in secondary education, though enjoy teaching Religious Studies, Philosophy and Ethics to all ages.
