About Holly
Hey! I'm a local Perth artist hoping to start tutoring as a way of connecting with the community and inspiring people of all ages to get involved and get passionate about art. I have a firm belief that anyone can draw or paint - it's just about taking the time to learn! Whether you're an experienced artist or just starting out, I'd love to help out and hopefully show you some new things along the way. My art involves a lot of painting and drawing, both realistic (from life and photographs), and illustrative (drawing characters from my mind). Whether you're wanting to draw portraits, figures, animals, landscapes, characters from your favorite TV show or movie - or learn about really awesome art history, I'd be more than happy to teach you!

My classes center around what you, the student, wants to learn. I have a thorough understanding of both formal and expressive techniques (in drawing and painting), and am happy to tailor each lesson according to what you would like to explore. I have taught previously as an English tutor and Art Instructor, and am comfortable working with people of all ages and skill level. As an artist myself, I have extensive knowledge of difference styles, materials, art history, and art writing. I am confident teaching realistic drawing/painting, intuitive drawing/painting, and illustrative styles. I have been actively creating for ten years now, and am deeply passionate about what I do.
