About Sergiu
I’ve been in love with coding since I was 16. It all started with a movie — Hackers. I got myself a Linux machine, hacked my mom’s Gmail (sorry, Mom), and from there, I just couldn’t stop. I learned how to build websites for hotels and restaurants, showing up with a notepad and camera, taking photos, and turning their ideas into a website. That’s when I realized something: coding isn’t just about computers, it’s about people. From there, I went bigger — Google hackathons, London startups, international companies in Sweden, Germany, Switzerland, and the UK. I worked on apps for doctors, students, restaurants, finance, real estate, and more. But what I’ve discovered over the years is that what I enjoy most is teaching. Helping someone go from “I don’t get this” to “Wow, I just built that” — that’s the best feeling. I’ve mentored junior developers, helped my cousin land his first dev job, and now I want to help you. Whether you’re learning for a career change, a startup idea, or just curiosity, I’ll teach you not only how to code but how to think like a programmer.

My Teaching Method I don’t believe in just memorizing syntax or reading programming theory out of a book. Coding is like learning to swim — you can’t just sit on the beach and read about it, you’ve got to jump in the water. That’s why my method is simple: learn by building. From the very first lesson, we’ll start creating things. It might be a small script, a simple app, or a basic website. The point is: you’ll touch code, break things, fix things, and see how it all comes together. Here’s how I usually structure it: We start with a quick chat — what’s your goal, what’s been confusing you, what excites you. Then we go hands-on with coding exercises, projects, or challenges tailored to you. I’ll explain the concepts in plain English, show you tricks I’ve learned in my 14 years of coding, and give you practical shortcuts. You’ll practice in between our sessions, and I’ll guide you step by step, making sure you’re moving forward without getting stuck. My aim isn’t to make you a “textbook programmer”. It’s to make you confident — to build apps, automate stuff, create prototypes, or even launch your startup idea. What Sets Me Apart as a Tutor I know exactly what it feels like to start from zero — confused, overwhelmed, unsure where to begin. I’ve been there. I taught myself everything from scratch, no computer science degree, no formal training. Just curiosity, persistence, and a lot of late nights. Over the years, I became a professional developer, but I never forgot what it feels like to be a beginner. That’s why when I teach, I focus on the human side of coding: building your confidence, finding your flow, and making the process enjoyable. With me, you won’t just learn coding “skills” — you’ll learn how to think like a creator. I’ll help you channel your energy into building projects that matter, whether it’s a portfolio piece for your career, a side hustle, or the first version of your startup. And if you’re into startups, I can guide you through that too. I’ve spent the last 8 years in the startup ecosystem — launching, failing, learning, iterating. I’ll show you how to create an MVP, test it with real users, collect feedback, and use data to make smart decisions. Because at the end of the day, coding isn’t just about typing lines into a screen. It’s about solving problems, creating value, and bringing ideas to life. That’s what I want to teach you.
