About Astrid

Bonjour ! I’m a Columbia University, Sciences Po (Paris) and King's College London alum. I had the opportunity to teach children, teenagers and adults for the past couple of years. Whatever your level, I promise this will be fun. (And nobody says 'Ouhlala' in French - first tip for free).

About the lesson

I was taught English, Russian and Mandarin. The only thing I remember from Mandarin classes is a song and a movie we watched in class. Learning a language shouldn't be so boring and painful. What I like to do is use a lot of different material to make this fun and entertaining (movies, songs, daily situations, games etc). My goal is first and foremost to encourage you to talk, then comes the vocabulary and finally grammar for those of you who are more advanced. I can also help you develop necessary skills to pass your exams. I met so many kids and all they had in common was their conviction that they were really bad at languages. None of them were. I promise at the end of our sessions you will be able to (at least) order a proper croissant.
