About MK
I am a fourth-year senior at Tufts University, where I double major in Spanish Cultural Studies and International Relations. I am on the pre-law track and have studied abroad in both Cuba and Spain. I have experience as a writing fellow and tutor and I am prepared to aid students in bettering their grammar, writing, spelling, and vocab. Students will find that tutoring sessions with me are not only beneficial, but can be fun and relaxed. My primary goal in tutoring students is to help them find their personal narrative voice, and allow them to see the joy in writing that they otherwise might find arduous.

I work best with students who are in grades 7 through 12, however, I am flexible and have experience with college and elementary students. My lessons are personalized to the writing needs of each individual student. Typically, I ask what goals the student wants to achieve, and create checkpoints/targets so we are able to succeed. I examined writing samples from the student and aid them in crafting cohesive pieces that serve as college application essays, capstone projects, or general grades assignments. In regards to language, I am able to conduct lessons in either Spanish or English, but I tend to work with students who are native English speakers.
