About Luca

I passed the advanced-level high school graduation exam in Japanese and obtained a B2-level Origó language certificate in the spring of 2022. In the summer of 2024, I successfully passed the JLPT N3 level as well. I am happy to offer lessons or tutoring for students at beginner or lower-intermediate levels. I first started learning Japanese in high school at Szent-Györgyi Albert Secondary School as part of my curriculum. Thanks to my excellent teachers—who are still university lecturers at ELTE and Károli—I also had the opportunity to learn from native speakers. I have been studying the Japanese language and culture for nearly 8 years and have 3 years of experience teaching Japanese. Recently, I also began teaching Korean and English. I truly enjoy what I do and plan to pursue language teaching in the long term. From November 2020, I spent 8 months in Japan as a high school exchange student through the AFS program, living with a host family. This gave me the chance to experience Japanese culture and everyday life up close. Later, in the fall of 2023, I studied at Keimyung University in South Korea, where I expanded my cultural knowledge alongside learning the Korean language. About the lesson

Learn Japanese with me online – for beginners and intermediate learners alike! I primarily welcome students who are complete beginners, returning learners, at an elementary level, in need of tutoring, or preparing for language exams or graduation. I can help you develop Japanese language skills equivalent to A1, A2, and B1 levels in the CEFR system, with particular focus on preparing for the JLPT N5/N4 exams and the intermediate-level high school graduation exam in Japanese. My lessons are structured, transparent, and supported by a wide range of textbooks, from which I select and customize materials to fit each student's needs. With my interactive teaching methods, my goal is to make the language learning process easier and help you get closer to your goals—whether it's passing an exam, planning a trip, or simply discovering the beauty of the Japanese language.
