About Sumit

Hello! I’m Sumit Chakrabarty, a professional visual artist and experienced art tutor with a Master’s degree in Fine Arts (Printmaking). With over 7 years of experience in art education, I’ve worked with learners of all ages, helping them explore their creativity and master various techniques in drawing, printmaking, and design. My teaching approach is built on patience, encouragement, and personalized support. I believe that every learner has a unique artistic voice, and my role is to help nurture that voice through structured guidance and creative freedom. Over the years, I’ve taught in both formal institutions and community settings, conducted workshops, and developed art programs for children and adults alike. I’m also actively engaged in my own art practice, regularly participating in national and international exhibitions. My Teaching Approach
As an art tutor, I focus on nurturing individual creativity, while helping learners build strong foundational skills in drawing, printmaking, and design. My goal is to make art enjoyable, meaningful, and technically sound—regardless of a student's age or experience level.
