About Esther

¡Hola! I am a native Spanish speaker and a language learner too! So, I know exactly how you feel when you start learning a language; I have been there. I am bilingual, I speak Catalan, and I am fluent in English. In the past year, I have been teaching one-to-one sessions to students of different levels and I have enjoyed seeing their progress and how their fluency improved. On a personal level, I am very flexible, patient, and very enthusiastic. I provide a relaxed and friendly environment, so you will feel confident speaking the language. Our first lesson is free, and we will discuss a plan, look at some goals, and talk about your needs and interests. Looking forward to meeting you in our first lesson.

About the lesson

My approach is very flexible, and I will plan my lesson based on your interests and motivation. As a language learner, I understand how a student feels when they are presented with grammar and new vocabulary. I will help you with your homework, and I will explain grammar and vocabulary with lots of examples and visuals. My lessons are varied and interactive, and you will practise the four skills: listening, reading, writing, and speaking. I use videos, PowerPoint presentations, and my materials. The class environment is friendly and relaxed, and I am completely flexible to adapt to your needs. Esther is without a shadow of a doubt the best Spanish teacher! Her teaching style is extremely flexible and at our first session she took the time to understand my wants and needs and flexed the lessons accordingly to facilitate them. I was blown away and actually burst into tears because it's so refreshing to come across someone who adapts their style to an individual's needs and will incorporate a range of methods to help me learn. Each week she checks in and sends words of encouragement as well as pointers to help me get better. She's so patient and understanding and being native Spanish is so wonderful.
