About Jacob

I’m Jacob Violet (legal name: Antonio Jacob Carrillo), a producer, songwriter, and artist based in California. I hold a Master’s degree in Songwriting & Production from Berklee NYC, where I had the opportunity to create, perform, and produce at a professional level every day. Music has been at the center of my life for over a decade — from fronting bands and producing electronic projects, to writing, mixing, and mastering for myself and others. Alongside that creative work, I’ve also spent time in the classroom as a substitute teacher, which taught me patience, adaptability, and how to work with students of all ages and backgrounds. I believe music education should be inspiring, accessible, and tailored to each student’s goals. Whether you want to make your first beat, finish a song you’ve been stuck on, or polish your mixes for release, I’ll give you both the technical skills and creative encouragement to get there. Outside of teaching, I’m actively releasing music under my artist project Lossless, DJing, and collaborating with other musicians. I love helping students connect their unique voice to the tools of modern production — it’s not just about learning software, it’s about learning to express yourself through sound.

Hi, I’m Jacob (Antonio), a producer, songwriter, and engineer with a Master’s degree in Songwriting & Production from Berklee NYC. I’ve been working in music for over a decade, from alt-pop bands to electronic projects, and I now run my own artist project while teaching and producing for others.

I offer personalized lessons in music production, songwriting, mixing, and creative workflow. Whether you’re just starting out or you’re ready to refine professional projects, I’ll meet you at your level and help you grow.

Thanks to my background as both a teacher (I’ve previously worked with students of all ages as a substitute teacher) and a working artist, I know how to make lessons engaging, accessible, and practical. From kids discovering music for the first time to adults preparing for release-ready tracks, I adapt my teaching style to your goals.
