About Shea
I am a passionate Chess tutor with 7 years of teaching experience, working with students from school to college level. My goal is to help every student develop strong thinking skills, strategic planning, and a love for the game. Over the years, I have guided students to improve their performance in tournaments and school competitions, helping them gain confidence both on and off the board. I focus on making lessons engaging, clear, and personalized to each student’s needs. Teaching Chess is more than just moves and tactics for me; it’s about inspiring curiosity, patience, and problem-solving skills that last a lifetime. My commitment to education and student growth drives me to continuously improve my teaching methods and celebrate every achievement with my students.

My teaching methodology focuses on Communication, Integrity, and Flexibility. I make sure every student understands concepts clearly and feels comfortable asking questions. Besides chess, I also guide students in related games like backgammon, checkers, and strategy-based board games to enhance problem-solving and analytical skills. I encourage practice, review, and reflection, supporting students in building confidence, discipline, and a passion for chess.
