About Jill

Jill Peterson is an oboist and English hornist based in Cincinnati, Ohio. She is currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in oboe from the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music (CCM). She attended Interlochen Arts Academy as an oboe performance major, and graduated from the School for Creative and Performing Arts at Lafayette High School in Lexington, Kentucky. She has attended many summer music festivals and camps such as the Lutheran Summer Music Festival, Interlochen Arts Camp, UWEC Double Reed Intensive, and Stephen Foster Music Camp. She has performed with many ensembles including the World Youth Symphony Orchestra, Central Kentucky Youth Orchestra, Cincinnati Youth Symphony Orchestra, KMEA All State Orchestra, Asbury University Orchestra, and Campbellsville University Orchestra. Jill is currently the oboist for Ceora Winds based in Lexington, Kentucky. Jill has been teaching oboe and music theory for 3 years. She incorporates virtual studio recitals, masterclasses, and other interactive experiences for students into her studio. Contact her for a trial lesson!

Perfect! Jill is awesome! My son has had a few online tutoring sessions with her and has really enjoyed them. So far she has been helping him prepare for an audition, giving him lots of tips for what to improve. Jill responds super quickly and has been very accommodating with scheduling. We're excited to continue these tutoring sessions as long as possible!

He adapted well to her teaching style and he believes the online instruction with Jill will go well, and I’m feeling positive as well .
