About Jeni

I have been tutoring chemistry since the beginning of my undergraduate masters degree programme nearly 8 years ago. I achieved a first class honours in my MSci Chemistry in July 2014 and was offered a PhD position which I graduate from later this year. However, my tutoring experience spans further than this as I have been tutoring piano privately for over 10 years therefore my teaching skills have grown and developed over this time.
I have taught all levels of chemistry students from GCSE to degree level, with exceptional success rates transforming grades from D to A*.
I have helped students in securing places to study medicine and dentistry at some of the most prestigious universities in the UK.
I limit the numbers of students I take on to 15 per semester to ensure that they receive the attention required, some students require up to 3 sessions per week to ensure academic success therefore I want to be available to these students.

About the lesson

PhD chemist with over 7 years tutoring experience of all levels from GCSE, AS, A2 and degree level tuition not only in chemistry but in other chemistry related subjects.
I pride myself in understanding that not every student learns in the same manner and finding the learning method most appropriate for each student. Over the years I have developed my own notes, tips & tricks which help simplify the complex language of chemistry.
Everyone has the ability to excel when taught in the correct manner. I put into place a detailed revision plan for each student, weekly monitor progress and test the student on their understanding whilst simultaneously dealing with any problematic areas covered in course content as and when it arises.
