About Antonio
I am passionate about teaching classical guitar because I am fond of its large repertoire and knowledgeable about its sophisticated technique. I actively teach and perform from decades and I think that performing gives me and my students a realistic perspective about how to prepare for making real music in front of people. Preparation for recitals is something I really enjoy. The choice of the repertoire, the fingering uniquely tailored to each student abilities, the proper posture and practice mindset are tangible things that my students can really appreciate.

I teach following a traditional method adapted to the level and needs of the student. A typical lesson can contain a review of previously assigned materials, a discussion of postural, technical and music style/interpretation aspects. I put a lot of emphasis on thorough fingerings for both left and right hand. I believe that accuracy and musicality can be achieved only with an intentional effort on fingering appropriately based on the piece and the music. Creativity and skills can be fostered by composition and recording exercises, specific drills proposed based on the needs of the music, sight reading and playing duets with me. I teach from elementary schools to adult students, with the ability to contribute to any elementary or advanced preparation levels. My passion for the guitar repertoire and technique will make you wanting to play more and more.
