About Stacy Dorry
Who I am and how I ended up in the teaching world. To give you a brief résumé, my name is Stacy. I am 26 years old living in Montreal, Quebec, growing up in Haiti in the Caribbean. I grew up speaking two languages: French and Haitian Creole. Once I moved here to Quebec, I ended up learning English as well. My passion for traveling was the main reason why I ended up learning Spanish and Portuguese. I had the opportunity to visit different places like Colombia, Argentina, Puerto Rico, Peru, Brazil, Guatemala, and Mexico. To perfect my Spanish, I am currently finishing a degree in Spanish Studies at the University of Montreal. I have been teaching for the past year and am very grateful to be able to share my passion with anyone who wants to learn.

For me, teaching languages is also teaching about the culture of the countries that speak these languages. I use a lot of cultural content to stimulate my students and I also love using music, books, and podcasts so they can immerse themselves. Of course, we will see the grammatical side and a lot of vocabulary.
