About Advitha

Tutoring Approach: I believe in building confidence through clarity. I break down difficult concepts into manageable parts and focus on strengthening core understanding before moving into exam-focused techniques like past paper practice, time management strategies, and active recall. I tailor every session to the student’s needs, learning style, and curriculum – whether that's catching up, stretching beyond the syllabus, or boosting exam performance. Lesson Format: - Initial assessment (set before the first lesson just so I can get an idea of ability) - Typical lesson length: 60 minutes (can be adjusted depending on age and focus) - Lessons are interactive, supportive, and paced according to the student’s comfort level and goals - Available for both short-term revision support and long-term academic development - After exploring the conceptual basics, we will generally look at topic-specific questions and past papers during our sessions. - Every few weeks, I will set a review assessment to track progress and identify any areas that need further work. About the lesson

Hi! I'm a 2nd Year Medical Student at the University of Exeter with over three years of tutoring experience and a proven track record of academic excellence. I achieved a Dean’s Commendation in the 2024–25 academic year (top 10% of my cohort) and scored 44 points in the IB Diploma—an accomplishment earned by just 1.1% of students worldwide. Over the past three years, I have delivered over 450 hours of private tutoring across a range of subjects, including secondary school and medical school entrance exams and GCSE subjects—primarily through online one-to-one sessions. This is separate from my informal teaching at medical school, where I’ve delivered sessions on complex topics such as neuroanatomy and the respiratory system. These experiences have helped me develop a flexible teaching style that works across different subjects, academic levels, and group sizes. Exams are only getting harder, and so I understand the challenges students face, especially in the wake of the pandemic, where many missed out on key exam practice and face-to-face learning. I want to help bridge that gap by offering clear, structured, and supportive tutoring that not only builds knowledge but also confidence. I genuinely enjoy working with young people and take pride in helping students unlock their potential. Teaching allows me to share what I’ve learned, pass on effective study strategies, and hopefully make the journey a little less stressful and a lot more rewarding.
