About Adam

Hello! I'm Adam, a full-time professional musician and teacher with a passion for helping people find their own unique voice in music. My journey has been a wild ride—from sharing festival stages with artists like Ed Sheeran to having my own compositions featured in indie films and video games. But my true passion has always been teaching. Over the last 20 years, I've had the privilege of leading one of Birmingham's largest music schools, training other professional guitar instructors for major brands like Yamaha Music Schools, and even serving as a Technical Adviser on a published guitar method book. I have helped hundreds of students pass exams with top marks and have mentored many who have gone on to become professional musicians and teachers themselves. What drives me is that "lightbulb" moment when a student finally nails a difficult part or understands a complex idea. There's nothing more rewarding than helping someone unlock their own creativity. It’s the reason some of my students have been with me for over a decade. I bring all of this real-world experience into our lessons, combining my deep knowledge of music with modern technology to create a learning environment that is engaging, effective, and, most importantly, fun.

I teach almost all styles and all levels of music but specialise in making learning fun and easy for beginners, creating a space where you can grow in confidence and achieve your unique musical goals. You won't just learn what to play; you'll learn how to become a better musician. >> A MODERN, INTERACTIVE LEARNING SYSTEM Your lessons are supported by a state-of-the-art interactive app where you'll find all your personalised materials. I create custom courses and high-quality backing tracks that you can slow down, loop, and practise with anytime, forever. This is a powerful tool for accelerating your progress between our sessions. >> CRYSTAL-CLEAR, STUDIO-QUALITY AUDIO Using a professional microphone and audio interface, I plug directly into Zoom. This ensures you get a perfect, high-quality audio experience, free from the distracting room noise and poor sound that can hinder online lessons. >> YOUR GOALS ARE THE CURRICULUM My approach is built entirely around what you want to achieve on both acoustic and electric guitar. Whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced player, we can focus on what matters to you: *Passing Graded Exams (Rockschool, ABRSM, etc.) *Learning music theory, improvisation, and how to play by ear *Writing and recording your own original songs *Or simply mastering your favourite tunes! I am two lessons into tuition with Adam so far and I thoroughly recommend his services. His generous trial session was clear and covered a lot. The pricing is fair and explained right from the start. While I was dubious at first of the idea of online learning, in practise it was absolutely fine and gave me the freedom to practise wherever I liked in my house.

Adam himself is very knowledgeable, clearly experienced in teaching his craft, as well as patient. I have consistently enjoyed my time learning through Adam.

The lessons are sructured with a subscription (no extra fee) through soundslice, which works very well. I can practise in my own time with ease. The act of playing along to a piece of music is much better than practising alone, and the range of songs is very suitable. Adam is also very accomodating to song requests whicle learning.
