About Louis

I am a full-time music producer and session musician, with over 12 years experience playing, recording and writing music with major-label and independent artists. I have recently graduated from the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance with a first-class Bachelors Degree in Songwriting. I now spend my time producing music for a wide variety of artists from my dedicated production studio in East London.

I am passionate about passing on my knowledge of music to others, and with over 5 years of experience teaching countless students of all ages and backgrounds, I am confident in my ability to demystify the process of making music for anyone!

As well as being a producer, I am also a highly trained instrumentalist, specialising in guitar (electric and acoustic), drums and bass and have performed alongside artists such as Oli Fox (Island Records) and Alice Chater (Virgin Records). I am also very knowledgeable of music theory, so these are all things that can be incorporated into your lessons if you wish!

About the lesson

I approach every student as an individual and therefore tailor each lesson specifically to you! Whether you're taking your first steps into production or are a more advanced student looking for new tips and tricks to take your work to the next level, I've got you covered! I can teach everything from recording and mixing live instruments such as drum kits and pianos to electronic sound design!

I'm a firm believer that music should always be taught in the most practical manner possible. As soon as I teach a new concept or idea, my first goal is always to show how to use this new knowledge to improve YOUR music!

I've been told many times that I'm a very patient person, so I am always willing to spend as long as needed on any given concept until my students fully understand what we are discussing :)
