About Lennon
I’m a violin tutor with over 4 years of experience and a Licentiate of Music in Violin. My teaching approach is holistic and deeply personal, focusing on self-expression, emotional release, and musical storytelling. I believe the violin is more than an instrument—it’s a powerful tool for healing and connection. I incorporate improvisation, journaling, and soundscape creation into lessons to encourage personal growth. These methods help students explore their emotions and creativity in a safe space. I have experience working with neurodiverse learners, trauma survivors, and adults seeking comfort and healing through music. My lessons are tailored to support each person’s unique journey, fostering both technical skill and emotional awareness. I encourage students to listen deeply to their inner voice and express it freely through their playing. The violin offers a unique path to emotional connection and self-discovery. I’m honoured to guide students as they find strength and peace through music. Together, we create a supportive environment where healing and artistry grow hand in hand.

My teaching approach centres on developing strong violin skills through a mix of technical practice and creative exploration. I focus on ensemble skills to help students play confidently with others, emphasising rhythm precision and listening closely to blend well. We explore classical repertoire to build a solid foundation, while also encouraging creative improvisation to make music personal and expressive. This balance helps students become versatile and confident musicians. I tailor lessons to support those using their voice in creative ways, helping them integrate violin playing with their unique talents. For adults returning to music or building self-confidence, I create a patient and encouraging space where progress feels achievable and rewarding. Rhythm exercises and group playing prepare students for real-world music situations. Improvisation sessions foster creativity and help develop a deeper connection with the instrument. My goal is to guide each student towards musical growth while keeping lessons fun and engaging. Together, we build technique, musicality, and the confidence to perform with joy.
