About Robert

Robert loves to see the potential of people come to full fruition. Using the latest psychology, neuroscience and social skills acquired from his x2 Degree's, he's helped many people overcome social stress, anxiety, a lack of social skills, excessive rumination and more.

Robert is an experienced Private Tutor who holds x2 First Class Degrees (Neuroscience & Psychology, Business Management) and has a wealth of experience teaching students at Undergraduate, A-Level and GCSE levels in subjects including Neuroscience, Psychology, Computational Psychology (Oxford), Developmental Biology, R, SPSS, Matlab and Python Coding, amongst other subjects relating directly to the STEM fields.

Robert has a deep love for teaching and has excelled at it from a young age.

Robert has taught and helped students on track for Oxford, Cambridge and other prestigious universities for over 3 years, with a successful track record of positive 5-star reviews that you can see on his profile.

A bit more about Robert here:

Robert secured the highest mark in his cohort and was awarded the Dean’s Prize for the Best Achievement for the Research Project in BSc Neuroscience & Psychology, receiving a formal letter signed by the Dean of King's College London, Darren Wallis.

Robert holds two degrees: one in Business and Management from Oxford B and a joint honours BSc (Hons) Neuroscience and Psychology from King’s College London in 2024, focusing on using Machine Learning, Python and Computational Neuroscience software that can take speech samples of 5 minutes and diagnose conditions like depression with up to an 80% accuracy, and the peripheral research thereof.

Robert has always been deeply interested in learning how to learn better, also known as Meta Learning Principles. Instead of contemporary methodologies (i.e. 'read this book and memorise it'), Robert trialled and tested 100's of ways of learning, from YouTube and Podcasts to the Watch-One-Do-One method.

Throughout his extensive experimentation of the optimal ways of learning he derived a systematic formula that is tried and tested to produce the optimal results, ensuring students don't just memorise answers, but understand them at a deep, personal level, thereby making memorisation obsolete.

Robert's first degree was in Business from Oxford B, thereafter heading into the Consulting Corporate World where he worked with companies including PwC, Elsevier, Elekta, Tradefeedr and Edelman, across industries including Academia, Publishing, FinTech, Management Consultancies and Energy.

Robert teaches not for profit, but for enjoyment, and only has a select amount of hours each month he dedicates to working with students he would like to work with, which he uses the 15 minute free call to identify.

Robert is easy going, competent and compassionate, and lives an active lifestyle, regularly travelling internationally, physically training each day all whilst running an online blog and a Tech Start-Up in London. He lives in The Green Belt with his fiancé Molly and their little dog, Marya.

Robert is proficient and able to teach subjects including, but not limited to, Computational Neuroscience; Machine Learning in Neuroscience; Computing for Brain and Cognitive Scientists; Molecular and Cellular Neuroscience; The Cognitive Brain; The Electrophysiological Brain; The Making of a Brain; Brain Form and Function; Decision Making: Addiction, Agency and Autonomy; Origins of Individual Differences; Psychology and the Individual; Psychology and Development; Psychology and the Brain; Psychology and Society; Research Methods with Statistics, R and Matlab 1, 2 & 3; Topics in the Interdisciplinary Study of Consciousness; Variability of Memory and Perception; Time Management; Personal Organisation; Meta Learning Tools; Overcoming Social Anxiety; Overcoming Fears; Building High Performance Habits and more.

Having helped many students improve social skills, communication skills, rumination, anxiety and stress strategies, as well as helping students from all backgrounds (Oxford and Cambridge to GCSE Students) achieve 1st class grades, allows me to help you academically and personally.

I've helped 100's of students reach understanding and top grades. I use an interactive approach based on the latest neuroscience and psychology research, and the Socratic method, to help all my students understand things at a first principles depth, removing the need for rote memorisation.
