About Izzie
Coming from an academic home and two teacher-parents, I know how extra support outside of the classroom can help push your understanding further. As a student of French and Philosophy at university, I use the skills I learnt at school every day and believe that they are fundamental to education. Certain things that can't easily be taught in schools - academic style, personal voice and creative confidence - are what I find most useful, and I want to help you to develop these abilities.

Do you want support to develop your essay skills, analysis or exam technique? Do you find it difficult to structure your ideas, communicate in essay language or to find where to start in an exam? I'm a university student at Bristol who achieved excellent grades in English, offering tutoring for A-level English Literature or GCSE students. Often English students with great knowledge struggle to do themselves justice due to the intimidating and complex task of self-expression in an essay. With practice and structure, you'll find your confidence and your style develop and allow you to achieve your best. With my own exemplar essays (23-25 out of 25 marks) from my A-level studies, and knowledge of different essay and exam strategies, I can help you build this skill.
