About Maya
I have spent the past 21 years working in various roles within the education system, including French teacher, Nursery manager, Head of department, Head of faculty which have allowed me to develop my leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. I have a proven track record of fostering positive relationships with students, parents, and staff, as well as implementing successful programs and initiatives that have led to improved student outcomes. As an experienced educator with 21 years of teaching experience at both primary & secondary levels, I have witnessed firsthand the profound impact that a comprehensive well-being program can have on students' academic success and personal development. My commitment to the holistic well-being of students is deeply rooted in my belief that a safe, supportive, and emotionally nurturing environment is essential for optimal learning and growth. My experience and qualifications include: 1. A master’s degree in leadership in education, a bachelor’s degree in French language & literature and a 20 years’ experience as a teacher & leader and my fluency in speaking three languages: Arabic, English & French. 2. NPQSL 3. Designated safeguarding lead 4. Duke of Edinburgh award leader 5. Pearson & DELF examiner 6. Mental health first aid trainer
