Reiki has come to us through the efforts of Dr. Mikao Usui, a Japanese Buddhist. Dr. Usui was pursuing his spiritual activities and one day a question was asked about the human body healing itself. There was no relevant answer to this question. This made him think and think time and again. Now we know how Dr. Usui was able to re-discover this Universal Life Force Energy, later to be known as Reiki.
