About Nadia

I am a violin tutor with over 8 years of experience and a Bachelor of Music in Early Music, specialising in Baroque Violin. My focus is on folk traditions, including Irish, Scottish, American Old-Time, and more. I teach ornamentation, rhythmic bowing patterns, and ear-based learning to help students capture the authentic sound of each style. Lessons incorporate folk jam tracks, drone tuners, and repertoire-based instruction to make learning immersive and practical. I aim to balance technical skill with musical expression, guiding students to play with confidence and musicality. Each lesson is tailored to the student’s level, interests, and learning goals. I encourage active listening, improvisation, and creative exploration within folk traditions.
