About Mary
My name is Mary, and I am a PhD candidate at King's College London, where I research the implementation of machine learning in healthcare data. I recently completed my Master’s in Neuroscience from King’s College London and hold a BSc in Biomedical Science from University College London. Alongside my academic work, I have proudly represented Great Britain in athletics, earning silver and bronze medals at the European Indoor and Outdoor Championships.
I have 5 years of experience teaching MSc Neuroscience courses, where I focus on student-centred learning and tailoring lessons to individual needs. I also have 1 year of experience as a teaching assistant at The Holy Cross Girls School, where I provided 1:1 and group lessons, working with students across various age groups. I specialize in teaching students at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, particularly those with learning disabilities like ADHD, ASD, and cognitive deficits. I have always enjoyed teaching and like to ensure that students enjoy the learning process and learn something new each lesson.
