About Joyce

HI, I'm Joyce from Wuxi, China. I'm a native Chinese speaker with teaching qualification of both Chinese and English.

I started my first job in my hometown Wuxi in a primary school as a bilingual teacher. Currently,I’ve been teaching in an International school in Shanghai for over 5 years.

I like traveling. For the past 8 years, I've been to many countries such as Austria, Hungary, Japan, Thailand and Indonesia.
My working and traveling experiences allow me to have a better understanding of cultural differences especially between the East and the West. This is why i'd like to be here to teach you not only Chinese but also our culture!

With my educational background, I’m very confident that I’m able to help you reach your personal language goals. Looking forward to hearing from you and starting our first lesson!

About the lesson

I’m very patient with my students especially beginners. Although learning a language could make you feel bored sometimes, I believe learning Chinese in my class will be fun for you! I always try to make my class interesting for every students.

Before our lesson you can send me a message about yourself so that I can get to know you more and customize our lesson for you!

For the adults:

We can focus more on the daily conversation and learn more slangs, or even tongue twists . We can also study HSK and I will help you pass the exam if you need
If you’re doing business, we can learn business Chinese and business culture customs in China

For the teenagers:

I can help you with the school courses and exams such as AP, IGCSE. My lesson will help you in your writing, reading and oral speaking.

For the children:

We can learn through pictures, Chinese songs and interesting stories to inspire their interest, building a good foundation for Chinese language at a young age.
