About Zanelee

Humor is a big part of my personality, and I enjoy working with people and easing tension wherever I can (easygoing). I thoroughly enjoy writing in my free time and passing on my passions for robust vocabularies (especially when it comes to unique sounding words). I have spent time abroad (in the states including New York, Colorado, Texas and Minneapolis) which enhanced my English Language proficiency a great deal and sparked my passion for conversing in the Language! I've come to chase after the feeling of helping facilitated a learners' "aha" moments. I treasure helping learners excel in subjects they used to struggle with and maybe even despised because of it. I am an excellent communicator, and I enjoy solving problems. I am more on the artistic side, so I enjoy playing acoustic guitar (14 years now), drawing, journaling and playing piano. I also love dogs a lot!

About the lesson

As an English tutor, I take a personalized and learner-centered approach to every lesson. I believe that language learning is most effective when it is interactive and relevant. I am fully proficient in English and Afrikaans, and can teach comfortably in either language, depending on the student's preference or home language background. A typical lesson with me includes: -A clear goal for the session (e.g. mastering tenses, understanding a poem, or preparing for an exam) -Engaging examples and real-life scenarios -Constructive and detailed feedback -Optional extension activities for revision My lessons are ideal for: -Primary and high school students needing extra support in English (Gr4-Gr12) -Beginner to intermediate English FAL learners -Students preparing for oral assessments, essays, or comprehension tests Whether you need help catching up, staying ahead, or simply growing in confidence with your English skills, I’m here to guide and support your learning journey.
